EMAIL IT TO A FRIEND Your Name Your E-Mail Your friend's name Your friend's e-mail Comments: Scripture : Nehemiah 4:14-15 A football team works together to get goals… It can happen that sometimes the team doesn’t do much…or wins much… This could be the consequence of the lack of trust some players may have. In contrast the teams that do good have a family mentality… they are a TRUE team. Same thing can happen with our lives… If we are not in the right family team and with God… we may miss the goal several times. How sad when a family can’t work together in the ministry and are actually divided… the work for The Lord is heavily endangered when such dynamic takes place. Nehemiah found the key to a powerful ministry… Make the family YOUR team! Negative thoughts come all the time… people telling you that YOU CAN’T and the fears that you won’t be able to have an excellent team in your family. You must keep your grounds and trust The Lord strengthen your faith in Him while sustaining the faith of your family to avoid for them to walk away from God. You must remember Nehemia’s words when he encouraged people to stay put in the Name of The Lord “for your brothers, sons and daughters… for your women and for your homes…” He knew and reminded everyone that God was there… supporting them at all times! May be you are afraid sometimes… Never forget The Lord is WITH YOU too! Here are some keys to make of your family your team number one and best: 1. TOGETHERNESS: Be a part of your family’s dreams and let them be part of yours while working together for the whole group’s dreams. - Does your son want to be a professional football player? Don’t you dare messing with his dream. Work your best effort to help your son achieve his wish. - Do not under estimate your spouse if his/her spiritual level is not up to yours rather increase your prayer life and motivate your spouse to work with you in the ministry. - Help your family discover their dreams to work together for those goals. May be your efforts won’t get thumbs up and a red carpet but you’ll feel the satisfaction of having been a great parent 2. MOTIVATION: - There are good and educational ways to HELP your children accomplish the goals “they are supposed to” cheering words you can use along with accompanying them during the time to study or help on some chores and how to do things, - May be your spouse is a bit overweighed … avoid making reference to the looks with nick names or despise… that won’t make the circumstances and reality. - Motivate your family… in every possible aspect. If it is the first time they visit the church… congratulate them and don’t judge them. * It is challenging to do this with perseverance and frequency, but then the juicy victory is ready for you. Nick Vujicic was born legless and armless… This has not stop him… He did not stay in bed waiting to be helped … He had loving parents and family motivating him all the time to work and press on for what otherwise would look to a man like him… impossible! 3. RESTORATION: Restore your home and focus on the truth and the solution… arguing about anything doesn’t make it better… take it easy and search for peace. - If you had an argument with your children do not hesitate to apologize because “you are the parent” heal their heart and work with reconciliation. - Restore your home and don’t fire up any inconveniences. If this is the first time you’ve ever read our meditations and have never invited Jesus into your heart, then, all you have to do is to confess out loud, the following prayer: “Lord Jesus I lay my life in your hands today. Take control of my heart and life and be my Lord and personal savior. Please forgive my sins. I repent of all my failures and wrongs and receive your peace, your love and your forgiveness. I thank you for the precious gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Amen.” Dear reader, if you just made this prayer, I give you my congratulations. The Lord says you are new and all your past (even right before your payer) is all gone. He has forgiven you from EVERY sin. Now, my advice for you is that every morning as you open your eyes, you go to The Lord in prayer feeling free to call Him Father for He is!. Get a bible and read it.
